A chiseled, cat-eye rectangular front is complemented by striking oblique sculptural temples in Templanza's dramatic and daring design. Luxurious mottled acetate in brown, gold and clear, tortoise pattern.
The frames are carved by hand, out of blocks of zyl acetate which have been embedded with layers of pattern and color. The lenses, while the optical quality is that of glass, are made from CR-39 resulting in very light-weight lenses.

LUMETE EYEWEAR: Lumete frames are handmade with traditional methods and materials that have been used in handcrafted eyewear for close to a century. The material is called zyl acetate, also referred to as ‘cellulose acetate’ or simply ‘acetate’ or ‘zyl’ (short for zylonite). Lumete frames are carved out of richly hued blocks of zyl acetate, some of which have multiple layers or embedded patterns, and then polished to a beautiful shine. All Lumete lenses are made from CR-39 material, which is allyl diglycol carbonate (ADC). This material has superior optical quality, comparable to glass, while being lightweight.
