Dreaming of San Francisco with Etta James

Image via Art @ The Hermitage

Our travels may take us all around the world, but San Francisco is where we call home. Whether in New Zealand, checking out the World of Wearable Art, or in Miami, getting a little sun, rest and relaxation, when we let our minds drift, it’s always back to San Francisco. Music icon Etta James, a fiercely independent woman after our own hearts, called this lovely city home for much of her childhood. This beautiful little ballad has us feeling uplifted and inspired to make the weekend magical. How are you dreaming this Friday? Don’t let the blues get you down — dream. It’s the thing to do.

I in Design: Bhavna & Tania of Jammu

Introducing: JAMMU

Jammu is the dream child of two sisters, Bhavna and Tania, who were raised by their single mother they both learned to become strong and independent women just like her. Eventually, their lives took different paths…
Bhavna, a designer by background, has lived in the United States for 14 years. Now a single mom of two children, she wanted bring color
back in to her life and God gave her a chance to do so..
Tania, who has a background in Design and Public Relations has always had a creative mind and has dreamed of owning her own label one day.
Together the sisters decided to turn their dreams, passion and emotions into reality-this was the birth of  Jammu, a luxury line of Cashmere & Silk Scarves. Their vision is simple – every Jammu scarf should breath luxury, simplicity and uniqueness!
The name  Jammu was inspired by the Jammu and Kashmir Valley of India, the home to some of the finest and most pure Cashmere’s in the word.
Creating the  Jammu collection has truly been a revitalizing experience . Every individual who has connected with this line feels as it is his or her own child.
All of our Cashmere Scarves have been hand-woven and hand-dyed in the spring waters of the Kashmir and are jeweled with Swarovski Elements. The designs were hand sketched and painted  and those vivid illustrations  came to life breathing impeccable royalty on the scarves. Every silk scarf is hand-rolled to perfection. There is a personal touch in every creation.”
