Apples & Oranges

A tale of Two Witties (T&B)

Big Apple V. Big Orange

What I love about New York  is that no matter where you are, there are dozens of food options. From the Calexico Truck serving fresh Cal-Mex to a veal chop the size of Texas, home- made pastas that just don’t taste the same anywhere else served by the owner himself (Val Bella’s) case in point! Last night we dined at Maialino, Danny Meyer’s  place at the Gramercy Park Hotel! Known for their Roast Suckling Pig- not in my palate, but the 7 strapping young men with us enjoyed it immensely! This morning we are off to my favorite breakfast spot- Jane- for a lazy brunch on this muggy, August day with our son who, as a recent transplant to NYC, is reveling in the food scene here! Good news Bun, I have managed to gain back the Aspen 5 I lost- get thee back to the mountains!!!

My most memorable meal for this week is…”Drumstick roll please”…State Bird Provision..
Okay.. So I am a big skeptic and thought here’s another” so hip it hurts deal” where the cool factor outweighs the meal.
I was so wrong that I need to be gonged!
In a word and that is the Bird: “Ri-duckulous”! I am talkin’ beyond great!!

Smooches,
La Bun
