What made you decide to become a designer?
My fun time as a kid was sketching and painting, then drumming. My mom told me to get a job when I was 15 and I wound up in my friend’s fathers jewelry store. Watching the jeweler creating pieces made me fall in love with jewelry as an art form.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your work.
I’m a total renegade; I began drumming in the NYC underground rock scene at 15 years old, when there were very few female drummers. Designing with black diamonds before anyone knew what they were, designing edgy fine jewelry and changing the direction of the industry in a fresh, expressive way. I always follow my heart in all I do. I’ll never go with the masses
Which products are you most proud of?
